Five Officials of Directorate of I&I – Customs Peshawar Embraces Martyrdom

Today on Thursday around 3pm five officials of the Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation Customs (Peshawar) embraced martyrdom while performing an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) at Daraban Road, near village Sagguu, district Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan).

During the operation, the officials were ambushed by unknown assailants in a
dastardly attack and fired upon with automatic weapons, all five officials embraced martyrdom in the line
of duty.

Despite all odds they remained committed to their mission, serving the nation with honor and distinction. Their courage in the face of adversity serves as a shining example of gallantry.

Names of the officials are:
Intelligence Officer Aslam Khan Shaheed, Havaldar Inayat Ullah Khan Shaheed, Havaldar Akbar Zaman Shaheed, Sepoy Iftikhar Alam Shaheed, Sepoy Shahab Ali Shaheed

The Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation Customs brings to record the valiant and selfless service rendered by the Shaheed officials to their motherland and the department.

Their contribution in service of the country will be remembered by the rank and file of Pakistan Customs Service.

The Director General, Intelligence & Investigation (Customs), Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Member Customs (Operations), and all officers and officials of the Pakistan Customs Service convey their deepest condolences to the families of the Shaheed officials and unwavering support to the bereaved in these testing times.

Pakistan Customs Service unflinchingly resolves to continue to serve Pakistan and
contribute to the welfare of the nation.

According to special situation report
issued by Deputy Commissioner DI Khan said that today, at about 1600 hours, unknow militants opened fire on a government vehicle of Custom Intelligence DI Khan on main DIKhan-Zhob Road near Saggu village, Tehsil Daraban, District Dera Ismail Khan.

As a result, five (05) personnel from the Custom Collectorate and two (02) civilians have been martyred. Detail of civilians are as Sifat Ullah s/o Mukhtiyar Ali r/o Bannu (Civilian), Laiba Bibi d/o Hazrat Bilal r/o Bannu (Child /Civilian).

Further investigations are in hand and progress will be communicated in due
course of time the special situation report said.

The funeral prayers of the martyrs Customs officials were performed with full honor at DI Khan while it will performed tomorrow morning at Custom House Peshawar.
