The newly appointed Chairman of FBR Amjad Zubair Tiwana affirmed the Board’s commitment to make all-out efforts to meet the challenging revenue target for the ongoing financial year 2023-24.
During his visit the Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar expressed confidence that under the leadership of newly appointed Chairman Tiwana and his team of FBR would achieve the revenue target for the current financial year.
The Federal Minister felicitated Malik Amjad Zubair Tiwana on assuming charge of Chairman Federal Board of Revenue and hold a meeting there.
During the meeting issues such as plugging revenue leakages, budget/ current account deficits and broadening of tax base came under discussion. The Finance Minister also called for intensifying the enforcement measures to eradicate the menace of smuggling.
