The head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, has expressed concern over the ongoing Israeli brutality in Gaza, saying that the war between Israel and Hamas is already affecting the regional economy.
According to a foreign media, the managing director of the IMF, speaking at the Future Investment Initiative conference in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, said that you should look at the neighboring countries of Gaza, Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan, where the economy is being affected by the war.
Addressing the investment conference, she expressed concern over the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and said that there is concern over loss of life and economic slowdown due to this conflict.
IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva also says that the economic impact on Gaza’s neighboring countries is being seen, with the Middle East conflict taking place at a time when growth rates are slow and interest rates are high.
