The FBR foiles attempt of smuggled weapon coming from Afghanistan

The FBR’s Appraisement department Peshawar have seized foreign origin weapons smuggled from Afghanistan concealed in secret cavities of empty vehicle.

According to details the Customs Appraisement at Torkham border foiled attempt of smuggling of F/O weapons from Afghanistan, concealed in secret cavities of empty Vehicle

At the Pak-Afghan Torkham border acting upon credible information,Customs staff at Import terminal stopped a vehicle having Reg. No. KBL 2572. The scan of the vehicle was also abnormal.

Upon detailed rummaging and inspection, customs appraisement team recovered foreign origin new weapons the details are as under.
31 Nos of 12 Bore Rifles(Turkish made)
524 Ammo 12 Bore
11 butts of 12 Bore Rifles

The recovered weapons were secretly concealed in cavities of the vehicle with fuel tank.The estimated worth of the concealed goods is approx Rs 4 million. In this regards, FIR is being lodged and further investigation is under process.

The Chief Collector Customs KPK of FBR Muhammad Saleem have ordered the border Customs staff to tighten the vigilance so no harmful attempt of smuggling could be done.
