The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced the postponement of its protest which was scheduled to be held on Friday.
PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja announced that the party has decided to hold its public rally on September 21 instead whether it gets a no objection certificate (NOC) or not. “We [PTI] are not petrified of fascism and ready to face jail but will hold a public rally in the provincial capital on September 21,” he maintained.
Meanwhile, the party announced holding a seminar in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) on September 17 (Tuesday). The party has instructed all its leaders and workers to participate in the seminar and public rallies in large numbers.
Earlier, PTI had announced to hold public rallies across provincial capital after Friday prayer. The party announced that PTI’s assembly members and ticket holders would lead public rallies to press the government for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan and other leaders and workers.
