Peshawar’s Azakhel dry port shows 61% extra CD growth in July 2023

MCC Peshawar’s Dry port Azakhel showed 61% extra growth in terms of Customs Duty,Additional Customs Duty and Regulatory Duty during July (FY)Financial year 2023-24 against the same period of correspondence July FY2022-23.

Telling the details of revenue comparison between July 2023-24 and July 2022-23 the sources informed that during July 2023 the Azakhail collected Rs 1.788 billion revenue under heads of Customs Duty (CD),Additional Customs Duty (ADC) and Regulatory Duty (RD) whereas it earned Rs 1.101 billions of duty taxes under same heads during same correspondence period July 2022.

The sources further informed that during July 2023 the AzaKhel received Rs 1.377 billion of revenue under heads of Sales Tax (ST) and Additional Sales Tax (AST) while the dry port Peshawar was earned Rs 621.84 millions of duty taxes under same heads during same correspondence period, he added that during July 2023 the dryport showed 122% extra growth under heads of ST and AST against collection of same previous period.

The sources said that during July 2023 the dry port collected Rs 550.41 million under head of IT while it was earned Rs 248.89 million under same head during identical period of 2022, in this way it showed extra ordinary growth of 121% during July 2023 under head of IT against same correspondence period of 2022.

Customs Collectorate Peshawar Azakhel Dry Port has a much better growth in revenue collection during FY2022-23 as compare to correspondence financial year. The Customs staff of Dry Port was working hard under the leadership of Member Customs of FBR and Chief Collector and Collector MCC Peshawar to provide maximum facilitation to the importers to increase the business activity.
