PCB seeks experts for key coaching roles in men’s white-ball team

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced vacancies for new fielding and mental coaches for the men's white-ball team.

The board is seeking to hire specialists for these roles, with applications being accepted until September 4.

The PCB’s statement expressed its intent to bring in coaches with specific expertise to enhance the performance of the national team.

Previously, Simon Helmot and David Reid held the positions of fielding and mental coaches, respectively.

The decision to recruit new coaches for the white-ball team has been made in consultation with head coach Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie.

Additionally, the PCB is also in the process of searching for a new head coach for the women’s cricket team, with current head coach Mohammad Wasim likely to be replaced. The application deadline for all these positions is set for September 4.

Simon Helmot previously held the role of fielding coach during the T20 World Cup, while David Reid served as the mental performance coach for the same tournament.

Australia's Tim Nielsen is currently the high-performance coach for Pakistan's red-ball team.

The decision to recruit new coaches for the white-ball team was made in consultation with head coaches Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie, who lead the white-ball and red-ball teams, respectively.

Meanwhile, the PCB has also initiated the search for a new head coach for the women's cricket team. An advertisement has been posted, inviting applications for this role.

Muhammad Wasim, the current head coach of the women's team, may be replaced as the board seeks fresh leadership.
