Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Dr. Umar Saif has said that Pakistan is the seventh major mobile phone market of the world, adding that ninteen Crore mobile phones are in use in Pakistan.
He said that Ministry of IT and Telecommunication is committed to promote IT and telecom sector of Pakistan.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Caretaker Federal Minister for IT said that “We want to decrease mobile phones’ import by cheap & quality mobile phones’ manufacturing in Pakistan, he maintained.
Dr. Umar Saif said that manufacturing of cellular phones locally will not only create job opportunities but also helpful to promote hi-tech industry in Pakistan.
