Cambridge International Education today released the results of it's largest-ever June exam series for Cambridge IGCSE, O Level and International AS & A Level worldwide.
In Pakistan, more than 100,000 students at 683 schools sat Cambridge O Levels, IGCSEs, or International AS & A Levels., said a statement issued on Tuesday.
At Cambridge O Level and IGCSE, Pakistan Studies, Islamiyat, Mathematics, English Language and Urdu as a Second Language were the most popular subjects.
At Cambridge International AS & A Level, Physics, Mathematics, Business, Chemistry and Computer Science were the most popular subjects. Business overtook Chemistry this year, and Computer Science rose up the ranks to enter the top 5, replacing Economics.
Rod Smith, Group Managing Director for International Education at Cambridge, congratulated students in Pakistan on their exam results and praised the dedicated teachers for their support. He noted that amid global challenges, it's encouraging to see more young people opting for an international education to succeed in a rapidly changing world.Uzma Yousuf, Cambridge's Country Director for Pakistan, congratulated students on their results, praising their hard work and dedication. She noted the importance of focusing on future-oriented subjects, reflecting a growing awareness of global challenges and opportunities. Yousuf also congratulated teachers, schools, and families for their support in helping students achieve their academic goals.
