Foreign Office confirmed the death of four Pakistanis in a terrorist attack on an Imambargah in Muscat on Tuesday.
The attack occurred at the Majlis-e-Aza (mourning assembly) held at Ali bin Abu Talib Imambargah in Wadi Kabir area, leaving an additional 30 Pakistanis injured and receiving medical treatment.
Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch condemned the cowardly act, expressing Pakistan's grief and solidarity with the victims.
She stated that the Pakistani embassy in Oman is coordinating with local authorities to identify and repatriate the bodies of the deceased. A helpline has been established for the Pakistani community in Oman, providing assistance and answering queries.

The Oman government has successfully thwarted further attacks and assured that investigations are underway to bring the perpetrators to justice. Following the attack, Omani security forces quickly cordoned off the mosque and the injured were rushed to nearby hospitals.
In a video, Ambassador Imran Ali talked about visiting local hospitals to check on the injured and ensure they receive the best care.
Local media reports indicate that the shooting caused a stampede, resulting in additional injuries as people were trampled that resulted in the death of two Pakistani nationals.
Pakistan has offered full support to Omani authorities in the investigation, particularly during the sacred month of Muharram.
