In a landmark move, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Syed Aminul Haque introduced Pakistan’s inaugural communication application, “Beep Pakistan,” designed to revolutionise digital interactions within government entities. The application’s launch ceremony took place on Monday, accompanied by the inauguration of the web version of E-office.
Developed by the National Information Technology Board (NITB), the application boasts an array of features, including secure messaging, document sharing, swift audio, video, and conference calls, all hosted securely within Pakistan.
Haque announced that following a one-month test phase, the application will be accessible to all government officers and officials. After successful implementation at the governmental level, the app is slated for public use within a year.
“The Beep Pakistan application is a vital step towards enhancing secure and efficient digital communication among government officers and employees,” said Haque. He emphasised the application’s potential to revolutionise government communication and boost productivity through contemporary e-governance practices.
He reiterated the Ministry of IT’s dedication to realising the Digital Pakistan vision, affirming their commitment to bridge the digital divide.
The ceremony featured insights into the features of “Beep Pakistan” through a comprehensive presentation.
