A joint delegation of Lahore Chamber of Commerce Industry (LCCI) and Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce Industry (FCCI) called on the Federal Finance Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar today at FBR Headquarters in Islamabad.
The delegation comprised Kashif Anwar President LCCI, Dr. Khurram Tariq President FCCI and other senior members of the Chambers.
The Finance Minister was accompanied by Tariq Bajwa Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Finance, Tariq Mehmood Pasha Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Revenue, Ashfaq Tola Chairman Reforms and Resource Mobilization Commission (RRMC), Asim Ahmad Chairman Federal Board of Revenue and other senior officers from the Finance Ministry and Revenue Division.
the overall economic situation of the country came under discussion. The Minister said that the Governmemt is taking all possible measures to turnaround the economy and put the country on the path to progress and prosperity. He stated that reforms were being taken in many areas of economy to achieve productive and fruitful results and expressed optimism that economic situation will improve in future.
The joint delegation assured the Minister that business community will support the Government in its efforts to revive the economy as well as achieve exports and revenue targets for the next financial year. They also submitted their proposals for consideration in the upcoming Federal Budget.
The Minister welcomed the proposals and assured of all possible cooperation and support to the business community. He also lauded their contributions for the betterment of the economy.
