Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar left for a five-day visit to the United States on Sunday.
The premier is to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, where he will present Pakistan’s perspective on key regional and international issues, according to a statement issued by his office.

Moreover, Kakar is to participate in a conference on climate change besides meeting with representatives of international media and visiting some think tanks in America.
The Foreign Office (FO) had earlier confirmed that the caretaker PM would be addressing the 78th UNGA. He is to be accompanied by Interim Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani.
The premier is to outline Pakistan's perspective on a range of regional and global issues of concern, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, according to the FO.

FO spokesperson said that Kakar will elaborate on measures being taken by the caretaker government to consolidate Pakistan's economic recovery and efforts to mobilise domestic and external investment.
He will be participating in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) summit besides meeting with premiers of different countries, heads of foreign organisations and corporate leaders.
