Islamabad High Court (IHC) will announce the verdict on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s petition challenging Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)’s order in foreign funding case on Thursday (today).
Larger bench consisting of IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Babar Sattar heard the PTI chief’s petition.
The bench had earlier reserved the judgment, which will be announced on February 2 (today).
Referring to the ECP order that he adopted legal remedy against, Imran Khan had argued in his petition that the commission had declared his party as foreign aided and had denied his declaration, claiming that the accounts of political parties were handled by chartered accountants.
Khan contended that the ECP targeted PTI and made it a case of “pick and choose”.
