The Deputy Director I&I Karachi Aman ullah Wazir told Mahsool.net that under Direction of DG Customs Intelligence Faiz Chadhar Customs Intelligence Karachi seizes 168 numbers of IPhones from Karachi Jinnal International Airport valuing Rs 13 crore.
The Deputy Director said that a credible information was received through DG Customs Intelligence Faiz Chadhar about smuggling of IPhones through Jinnah International Airport by passengers arriving Karachi from Sharjah via Air Arabia.After received the said information surveillance was mounted by Customs Intelligence, Karachi and 168 I-Phones were recovered from passengers after they had cleared from all checks and had come out of International Arrival.
The value of seized mobiles is Rs 13 crores. FIR is being lodged against the passengers and others involved in this attempt of smuggling through Jinnah International airport while further investigation is underway.
