The Gujranwala Chamber asked FBR for early payment of Sales Tax refunds, import of motors scrap, delay in clearance of their goods due to SBP’s FE (facilitation for exports) regulations and 100% cash margin restriction on import of aluminum scrap.
A delegation of the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) led by Humais Gulzar Mughal, Senior Vice President of GCCI visited FBR Headquarter and met Asim Ahmad Chairman, FBR. The meeting was also attended by Mukarram Jah Ansari, Member Customs Operations.
The representatives of GCCI highlighted the issues faced by their members including
that more ST (sales tax) refund has been paid to their members in comparison with the previous year. Similarly, Member Customs Ops explained the procedure of clearance at import stage and the reason of practice in vogue. The Chairman assured the resolution of all the issues faced by members of GCCI especially exports related units.
